Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

You accept these terms by signing in with Discord, by installing the PingMe bot in a server, or by continuing to use the service after a change to the terms.

If you use PingMe for a company or another organization, you confirm that you are allowed to bind it to these terms, and "you" means that organization.

2. The Service

PingMe watches public posts on the social platforms it supports (LinkedIn and Reddit today) for the keywords you configure, and delivers each match as a message, a ping, to the Discord channel you choose. Around each ping it provides outcome buttons, an outreach pipeline and follow-up reminders so your team can act on what it found.

PingMe decides how often each monitor checks its source. You choose a freshness tier; the actual polling rhythm, look-back window and fetch size are set by us from the measured volume of your keywords, so that watching a quiet query does not cost more than it is worth.

PingMe reads. It never posts, messages or reacts on LinkedIn or Reddit for you, and it never logs in to those platforms with your credentials.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

To use PingMe you must:

• Be at least 18 years old and using the service for business purposes
• Have a Discord account in good standing and comply with Discord's Terms of Service
• Have the permission needed to install a bot in the servers you connect
• Not have had a previous PingMe account terminated for breaching these terms

Your account is tied to your Discord identity. You are responsible for what happens under it, including what members of your connected servers do with the buttons and pipeline the bot exposes to them. Tell us at once if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

4. Early Access

PingMe is in early access. Signups are by invitation from the waitlist, in the order and at the pace we choose. Joining the waitlist does not create an account and does not entitle you to one.

During early access, features may change, be removed or be added without notice, and we may reset or limit workspaces that consume disproportionate resources. We will do our best to warn you before anything that affects your data.

5. Pricing and Billing

PingMe charges for what it delivers. Prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT and other applicable taxes. The current prices, which are the ones on the pricing page, are:

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email or in the dashboard. The new prices apply to usage after the notice period.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use PingMe to:

• Monitor, profile or track specific individuals rather than topics, or build lists of people for purposes unrelated to a legitimate business conversation
• Send unsolicited bulk messages, harass or deceive the people whose posts you find, or otherwise breach anti-spam, consumer protection or data protection law where you or they are located
• Break the terms or community rules of LinkedIn, Reddit, Discord or any other platform involved
• Resell pings or the data in them, or feed them into a third-party product without our written agreement
• Probe, overload, reverse engineer or interfere with the service, or share access to an account
• Create workspaces or keywords designed to burn our fetch budget rather than to find posts

You are the data controller for how you use the contacts and posts PingMe shows you. If a post author objects to being contacted, stop.

7. Third-Party Platforms

PingMe depends on platforms we do not control. Discord delivers the pings; LinkedIn and Reddit publish the posts; a data collection provider fetches them. Any of them may change their APIs, rate limits or rules, or block access, at any time. When that happens, a source may go quiet or be removed. We will say so on the status of the monitor and in the activity log.

PingMe is not affiliated with LinkedIn, Reddit or Discord. Trademarks belong to their owners.

8. Your Content and Data

Your keywords, pipeline stages, notes and message templates are yours. You give us the right to store and process them, only as needed to run the service for you.

The posts in your pings belong to their authors and their platforms. PingMe shows them to you; it does not transfer any right over them to you.

How we handle personal data, including the data of post authors, is in the Privacy Policy. It is part of these terms.

9. Intellectual Property

The PingMe name, logo, website, dashboard, bot and underlying software belong to Anthony Decat EI and are protected by intellectual property law. These terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service; nothing more.

10. Availability

We aim for the service to be up and for monitors to run on schedule, but we do not promise either. The service may be interrupted by maintenance, by an outage at Discord, at a source platform, at our data provider or at our hosts, or by circumstances beyond our control.

We do not guarantee that every relevant post will be found. Platforms expose only part of what is posted, and a monitor finds what its keywords match, no more.

11. Termination

You can stop at any time by pausing or deleting your monitors, removing the bot from your server, or asking us to delete your account at [email protected]. Usage up to that point remains due.

We may suspend or terminate your account, with notice where practical, if you breach these terms, if your usage puts the service or a platform relationship at risk, if an invoice stays unpaid after a reminder, or if we shut the service down. In the last case we will give at least 30 days' notice and let you export your pipeline.

After termination we delete your data as set out in the Privacy Policy, keeping only what accounting law requires.

12. Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent French law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, and no warranty about the accuracy, completeness or legality of posts published by third parties on third-party platforms.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent French law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost revenue, lost deals, lost data or damage to reputation, nor for any loss caused by a platform we do not control, by your use of the people and posts PingMe surfaces, or by a missed post.

Our total liability for all claims in a given year is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may change these terms. For changes that reduce your rights or raise your costs we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the dashboard; other changes take effect when published, with the date at the top updated. If you do not accept a change, stop using the service before it takes effect.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by French law. Before going to court, both sides agree to try to settle any dispute amicably by writing to the other. Failing that, the courts of Paris, France have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rule giving you the right to a different forum.
